The sun was setting. The sky was turning beautiful colors. Ruby had fallen asleep on her towel next to Jason. She was laying on her side facing him, her body curled up against him. Jason looked down at her as her little chest moved up and down. She sure had played a lot today. It was enough to tire her out. He looked up at Stu who was laying next to Sadako on a towel together. Stu looked over like as if Jason had called for him. He looked at him, and then at Ruby. He nudged Sadako. She opened her eyes and looked up at his pointing hand. When she saw Ruby, she knew that it was time to call it a day. She sat up and stretched her arms over her head. Stu quickly stood up, wobbled a bit, and sat back down.

"That was smart," he mumbled with sarcasm.

Sadako giggled and called the others in. Freddy poked his head out from under a pile of sand that Kayako and Samara were busy piling on him. He looked up to see Esther standing over him. She smiled and dropped a seashell on his head. Then she turned to gather her things. Kayako patted the sore spot on Freddy's head and purred. Esther looked over her shoulder and glared at the two. The sight made her stomach churn. She folded her umbrella up and wrapped her towel around her waist. She picked up her hammer and fan and waited for the others. Stu had his towel around his shoulders while Sadako wrapped her's around her waist. Kayako threw her towel over her shoulder and pushed the sand off of Freddy. He sprung up, knocking the rest of the sand off his burnt body. Samara and Mimiko had gather their towels and were now waiting with the others. Michael and Freddy were the only ones to not bring anything with them, so they were already ready. Jason put his towel around his shoulders and scooped Ruby up. Stu picked her towel up, and the group headed back up to the house.

Once they reached the house, Sadako began to explain the bathing situation.

"Iiyo, there is only one bathroom. Now I know you girls," she looked at her Japanese friends, "know how it works, but you guys probably don't."

"You mean...no tub?" Freddy asked.

"There is a tub, but you're supposed to only soak in it. Not bathe," Sadako explained.

"What?" Stu sounded confused.

"After you soak, you get out and wash yourself. Use the hose to rinse the water off," Sadako explained further.

The guys still looked confused. Only Michael and Jason stared with blank expressions. Sadako lead them to the bathroom and showed them what to do. After she was done explaining it all, Stu and Freddy nodded.

"I think I get it now," Stu said.

"It seems like a stupid way to bathe, but okay," Freddy scoffed.

Sadako smiled, but wasn't sure if she were to laugh.

"Iiyo, Samara, Ruby, Mimiko, and Esther can go at once since you are small," Sadako continued.

"I bathe alone," said Esther.

"But..." Sadako began.

"Alone!" Esther shouted.

Sadako jumped back.

"I-iiyo, you bathe alone."

Esther smiled and bowed her head. It was soon decided that the guys would bathe separately while Sadako and Kayako could bathe together. Jason set Ruby down and woke her up. Samara took her hand and explained the bathing situation as she lead her to the bathroom. Mimiko followed quietly. Meanwhile, the guys were debating on who would go first. As soon as the three girls finished, Esther went in.

"Hey, Princess, did you say alone because you wanted to shower with one of us?" Freddy asked.

A block of soap flew out of the bathroom and nailed Freddy between the eyes.

As soon as Esther finished, Sadako and Kayako took their turn. By this time, the other three girls had gotten dressed. Ruby was wearing a faded red T-shirt and shorts. Samara was in shorts and a gray tank top. Mimiko had a similar attire. Esther came down in a light blue sleeveless dress. Her hair was hanging down her back in neat curls. Soon, Sadako and Kayako finished. Sadako tickled Stu's chin as she walked by to head upstairs to change. Stu watched her as she walked upstairs. He sighed and blushed. Freddy was quick to jump in the bathroom.

"Hey! I was next!" Stu shouted.

"Your loss, you were distracted!" Freddy said smiling.

He closed the door. Stu stomped his foot and clenched his fists. Samara came up next to him. He looked down at her.

"Don't worry, be glad that she likes you too," she said.

"What does that mean?" Stu asked.

Samara didn't answer. She walked away. Stu was confused. What she had just said sounded like a threat. Soon Freddy finished and it was Stu's turn, then Michael's, and lastly Jason's. After everyone had gotten dressed, they all gathered around the table near the kitchen. Sadako and Samara were in the kitchen cooking some traditional Japanese dishes.

"Can I help?" Stu asked.

"Iie! Iie! You stay there!" Sadako answered from the kitchen.

"Okay."

Freddy gave Stu a sly smile.

"What?" Stu asked.

"Someone want's to practice being a husband!"

"W-what?" Stu stammered.

Freddy chanted over and over. Kayako laughed and clapped. Esther glared at the two. It seemed like anything Freddy did would entertain the white-faced girl.

Soon, Sadako and Samara came in with a tray of steaming food. Sadako set the dish down in the middle of the table. It was filled with many kinds of Japanese foods. Meats, veggies, rice, and noodles. It smelled delicious.

" Iiyo, you all can choose what you want, but leave some for everyone," Sadako explained. "Iiyo?"

Everyone nodded. Sadako smiled and knelt down next to Stu. Mimiko and Samara knelt down next to Sadako. Esther, Freddy, and Kayako took one side while Michael, Jason and Ruby took the other side. Everyone began to claim what they wanted for their plates.

"Let's eat!" said Samara.

Freddy ignored this and shoved his chopsticks up his nostrils. Kayako burst out laughing at his act. Esther watched with narrow eyes as she ate her food. Sadako took a picture. She handed the camera to Kayako and asked her to take a picture. Kayako snapped a picture of the group. Sadako began to tease Stu about the way he was holding his chopsticks. He just couldn't seem to get it right. Samara was asking Mimiko why she was only eating her red candies. Kayako gave the camera back to Sadako. She looked at the pictures. A picture of her on top of Stu while removing his mask popped up. Her eyes widened and she blushed.

"Who took this?" she asked.

Samara looked at the picture.

"Me," she said.

"Why?" Sadako whined.

Samara shrugged and took a bite.

"It looked like something you would like to have," she answered.

Sadako made a face. She looked back at the picture. It was a cute picture. Stu looked cute. He was blushing. She eventually decided to keep the picture. It was a good memory. She looked at the other end of the table. Michael was eating quietly with his mask up on his face. Only his mouth was visible. Jason was showing Ruby how to hold her chopsticks. She smiled and took a picture.

Dinner soon ended. The dish in the center of the table was empty. Sadako took the dish to the kitchen to clean it. Samara got up to help. She cleared the other dishes and brought them to the kitchen. As Sadako washed, Samara would dry them and put them away. Stu asked if he could help, but Sadako insisted that he and the others waited in the other room.

"So when are you going to tell your boyfriend?" Samara asked.

"Huh? Tell him what?" Sadako asked.

"About your little gender problem?" Samara continued.

"Oh, I don't need to. That was only in the book. Remember?"

"Ah yeah. You're right. You're one-hundred percent female in the film," Samara said as she put a plate away.

"Sono toori desu!" Sadako said smiling.

"What about the rape?"

"That was only in the book too," Sadako smiled.

"Well, I was right about one thing," Samara said with a sly smile.

"Nani?" her smile faded.

"You didn't deny that he's your boyfriend," Samara said smiling big.

Sadako blushed a deep red.

"I, uh," Sadako gulped.

"So have you kissed him yet?" Samara continued.

"I-iie."

"Well you better do it soon before some other girl sweeps him off his feet!" Samara warned her.

After that was said, she left the room. Sadako watched her leave. She was about to call her back to finish drying the dishes when she realized that they were done. She blushed and twirled a finger in her hair shyly. It was true that she hadn't kissed him, and this trip certainly did provide opportunities. Many opportunities. She wiped her hands off and left the kitchen. She came back into the room where the others were waiting.

"Let's play a game," Sadako announced.

"What game?" Freddy asked.

"Buta no shippo," she said.

"Oooooo, I loooove this gaaame," said Kayako.

Sadako left the room and came back with a deck of cards. She gathered everyone around and began to explain the rules to them as she laid the cards out in a large circle.

"So, we take a card in the order we decide on, lay it out in the center, and when we see the attack card we try to slap our hand down on it first?" Stu asked.

"Hai," said Sadako.

"And the last one to do this takes all the cards in the center?" Stu continued.

Sadako nodded and smiled.

"Oh, then I'll be the one to win! I'll be slower than any of you!" Freddy said smiling.

"The one with the most cards by the end loses, you idiot," Esther said with annoyance. "Weren't you listening?"

Freddy's smile faded and he gulped. The group played rock-paper-scissors to decide what order the players would draw their cards. The first round went not so smoothly. Sadako had to keep explaining the rules as they played. Ruby tried her best, and almost wound up crying. Jason would place a hand on her shoulder and her spirits would rise again. Stu seemed to be the only one who caught on quickly. Esther understood from the start and played like a pro. Kayako was too busy watching Freddy's fumbles half the time. Mimiko played the game exceptionally well. Samara played pretty well too since she and Sadako have played the game together before. Michael didn't seem to get it very well. He was slow to remember that he had to "attack" the attack card when it was flipped. He lost most of the plays. He wound up being the loser of the game. After the game was over, they played it again. Everyone who was new played a little better. This time Freddy lost. They kept playing the game for at least two hours.

Every time Sadako slapped her hand down, she would see that Stu was quick to cover hers. She would blush every time. Samara would give the two quick glances. Sadako almost lost a game because she was too shy to put her hand down. She knew that Stu would be quick to cover her hand. He never seemed to lose a game. As a killer, he was known for his speed. She had to admit that he was fast. She began to realize that he was doing it on purpose so that he could touch her hand.

Soon it was about 10:30 PM. Ruby was beginning to nod off. Soon she was leaning against Jason. Sadako saw this and ended the current game.

"Aw! I was about to win!" Freddy cried.

"Your stack is larger than any other stack," Esther mocked him.

Freddy frowned and began to argue with her as Jason carried Ruby upstairs. Sadako followed to help her get into bed. Stu cleaned the cards up and stuffed them back into the box. He handed Sadako the deck when she came back down. She smiled and put it away. The others had left to get ready for bed.

"Tonight was fun. Thanks for showing us that game," said Stu.

"Dou itashimashite," Sadako said shyly.

"Well, good night."

"Oyasuminasai," Sadako said quietly.

Stu suddenly hugged her, making Sadako gasp. She had hugged him before, but this was her first time to be hugged by him first. His arms were warm, and it made her feel safe. She melted in his grip and blushed with a weary smile. She gently wrapped her arms around him and hugged him back. Stu leaned in close to her ear.

"See you in the morning," he whispered.

Stu let her go and went upstairs. Sadako stood alone where he had left her. Her cheeks were flushed and sweat covered her forehead. Her legs quivered. She wanted to tell him more, but she was afraid. For all she knew he wanted to be close friends, but he seemed to be throwing hints at her. She slowly began to go upstairs to her room. She began to wonder what the next day would be like. It was going to be a fun week.
